Hi Steve!

I've already weighed in on my Toshiba experience but I haven't mentioned 
my Compaq experience. I would buy another Compaq if I ever needed 
another laptop.

I built most of my Chinese Medicine data store in Excel on a used Compaq 
386. Then I moved on to a "previously owned" Compaq 486 DX 50 that I 
rebuild several times, with help and parts from the seller. When I 
finally let it go it had 32 meg of ram on board and a 6 GB hard drive 
running Windows 95.

Did most of my FoxPro work on that 486. I told the lady who was the 
486's third owner to keep up her virus and ad-ware protection, but she 
let it lapse. It was perfect when she got it, but . . .
