Heya, So, I have a laptop computer - currently running XP Home SP3, but will be running 7 Professional when the new one comes in. I have a TiVo Series II DT (which runs under Unix, I believe). And I have a desktop computer currently running under Windows 2000.
I'd like all three of these machines to share my cablemodem. Sharing files and printers (the laptop is connected to a laser printer, the desktop to an all-in-one printer/scanner) would be nice (particularly between the laptop and the TiVo), but not necessary. So, what do I need? Right now, I'm thinking that all I really need is a wired router connected to the modem and the three computers. Do you have any recommendations for what I should pick up?
