I posted a mail about that recently regarding using both DVD and USB to
boot on a macbook. Search the archives, I don't have it anymore here.

but tim, if this is too much hassle, you could also get yourself a cheap
USB key (2GB is enough) and make a Puredyne liveUSB if your machine can
boot on USB.
