Yippie!!! That worked. I have LiVES installed, I can open it and it looks
like everything is there that is supposed to be. Thanks for all the help...

I still don't have access to my hard drive though. That would be a puredyne
issue rather than LiVES. Someone earlier in this thread suggested I might
have to change the boot parameters to reflect that live is on C: rather than
on the DVD,  and that there was a post mail about that recently regarding
using both DVD and USB boot on a macbook, and that I could search the
archives. I searched back about a year and couldn't find anything that
looked related.

Now that I think of it, the system must know that LiVES is on the c: drive
because that has to be where it was installed just now. The dvd I used for
the boot dvd isn't a rewritable one, so where else would the LiVES installed
files be?

I have used the file manager and all I can see is lintian, trash, desktop
and filesystem.  FileSystem has 21 folders that all look like the dvd.
