If you used the DVD image to create your full installation or your
liveHD install, then LiVES should be in.

it's def part of the DVD.

Maybe it lacks a menu entry, which would be surprising ...
You can try to start it from a terminal, and if it's not found then try
to install it from a terminal with:

aptitude install lives

or via synaptics
