Maybe I need to re-asses wether I am running on the HD after booting from
DVD, or not. I was thinking that because the Puredyne desktop icon
disappears when I remove the DVD, and because I couldn't find the LiVES app,
that I wasn't running on the HD after removing the DVD. Here is what I have:

When I boot with the DVD, and keep it in, there are 4 items on the desktop:
Puredyne
Trash
Home
File System (and file manager opens automatically)

When I remove the DVD the Puredyne icon disappears

Wether the DVD is in or removed, I still see all the shortcuts on the launch
button in the lower left of the desktop, and I can open any of them. The
LiVES app is not there however. The apps available on the Multimedia menu
are:
Avidemux
Brasero
EasyTag
Gnome Mixer
Gnaom Player
gtk RecordMyDesktop
Kino
Processing
VLC Media Player
XawTV

I've also looked through the other menus for the LiVES app but it just isn't
there. Does that give you an idea of what I should try next?

I think I'm close to full operation, just not sure how close I guess. Thanks
again for all the help.

Tim
