At this stage I'd be pretty happy if I could just get it working via USB, without anything else too clever on the system!
Email sent to Epson tech support to see if they know of a reason why their software can't find USB printers or install their 'USB printer port' drivers as their own books say they ought to be able to.
Let's hope you get a good report back.
