/usr/local/bin is nearly standard.
djb's /package is a really nice way and a really good idea IMHO, the real
problem: it's unlikely that this standard will be widely adopted.

Enfocing djb's ideas means inconsistence between the different programs on a
sigle box. Do you have only djbware, not a single program within /usr/bin,
/bin or whatever on a box? surely not.
