hello,
I am not using the submission port ( is that 587 ? but I am sure most people
will be sending on 25 ..yes?)

the test account settings returns the following errors ( client is Outlook )
" ... the specified server was found , but there was no response from the
server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct.
To access these settings close this diag, then click more settings on the
advanced tab..."

also what would folks sending from google mail have thier mail bounced
back?..could this be related?

also... I need to expand my understanding of how Spamassasin is working ... i
see wher some spam is marked ***SPAM***
I think these are messages that are scored as 5 . BUT are there some spam
messages that are scored at a Higer number that are just tossed- never
delivered?

    Friends,

Is it possible to allow relaying if the user logs in with authentication?

Such as , I would like for users to be able to send and receive even when
they are outside our domain, such as their home account or on the road.

Presently i can get my mail but not send through my "work" / qmail server
when at home ( using a diffrent isp and diffrent domain )
    - I am sure that it is seen as relaying and fails.
Why can't you send from home? Is it giving you a "spam" error? And are you
using the submission port?
