Hi Yoav,

Agree with everything you say...

the issue we have is that many of us cannot use IRC from our place of work
due to the security policies put in place. this severely limits our ability
to have multi-way conversations. Thus, for some of us, using IRC
completely excludes us from the process :-(. [Perhaps we need a script
which will scrape the IRC channel and post to the list regularly :-) ]. I
think that this has lead at the moment to a lot of 1-1 conversations over IM
or the phone which is unhelpful.

The proposed meeting will be open to all who wish to participate, and
minutes will be posted to the list and the Wiki. Once we've agreed a time
on the list, I'll send out a number to anyone who wishes to attend. I
encourage all who are interested to let me know.

Obviously time-zones are an issue and no binding decisions can or will be
taken at such meetings. If we get to the point that no single time is
convenient then we can make alternative arrangements.

There are two main goals for me - one to sort out and more effectively use
the JIRA system so that anyone visiting Qpid can see the bugs and feature
requests that we have, and can see if there is anything they think they want
to tackle (or if someone is already working on it). The second is to try to
put in place a more robust review process.

hope this helps,
Rob
