What kind of meeting are we talking about? ASF communications are
supposed to take place on a channel that everyone can access without
being hampered too much by time zones, e.g. email lists. If you want
to meet in other forums, like IRC, that's cool, but please make sure
everyone is invited, post a transcript of the meeting to the mailing
list, and let people chime in on decisions made during the meeting.
No one will probably chime in, but it's important to give them the
chance.
If you're thinking of another meeting, such as a conference call or
in-person, the above doubly applies. Especially since qpid wants to
grow a more diverse community ;)

Yoav, yes I agree.
(Reason for call versus IRC - ) In qpid we have quite a few committers
that are not allowed
to access IRC except from home (found this out when we debated doing IRC
about a year
ago). So thus the idea of a call, and it is well understood that we
need to be very careful to
bring all conversations on the call back to e-mail.. If we get people
that want to join that are
not in the timezones we will need to the update the arrangement.
