hi medicare will not pay for attendants. if your poor enough they will cover almost all medical expendisures that you have. medicare is only partial pay 80% you need the suplimental insurance to cover the other 20%. if you aren't poor enough, they will make you pay for some or all of the supplemental insurance. they will check bank statements etc. you will need a doctors order for any equiptment that you get.

I will be getting Medicare (not Medicaid) in a few months. What can I expect
to be able to get? Will it help pay for an attendant? If so, will they only
pay a service, or can you hire someone yourself? Will they buy a new bed?
It looks like I get 4 Supplemental Insurance companies to pick from. I hope they cover enough stuff. I'd like to stop my insurance, it's ghastly expensive.
