Welcome, Tammie! Sorry, but this is the first time I've heard of "purple butt syndrome" in almost 40 years of being a quad. (See that? You have your very own "syndrome" now. LOL) As for yeast: I have had trouble with it around my urostomy and privates and found that taking 1 Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) pill per day and 2 acidophilus per day help keep it in check (along with good washing and drying twice daily).
