The main neurosurgeon at Wash U is Neil Wright. I will check the spelling of
the last name in my notes. I went to him twice a few yrs ago, but he wouldnt do
the surgery because I had no function loss .I was told this guy is the main
neuro down there and kinda pulls the strings of the others. Im in a similar
situation with pretty constant pain, but no additional spasms as of yet. Will
write more later.

Ron, If you have the name of one of the top neuro surgeons at Washington U.,
can you give it to me again?? We can't find the paper we had wrote his name on.
Dr. Wice had an MRI done and said I have a few things going on...and need to
see a neuro surgeon. He said my syrinx is indeed growing and may be causing a
lot of my problems. I have lots of pain and after being up 3 or 4 hours, i need
pain meds just to help control pain and spasms.  ------ I have never really had
spasms in my 12 years as a quad unless i had a uti. I just made 12 years quad
life 8-3-09 a few days ago. Also Laurie and others that had surgury for a
syrinx --- did it help most or harm any on the list?  this is scary stuff---i
wish i could go back to my normal quad life the 1st 11 years or so.  thanks for
input from any on list,,,,   Dan H  c-6-  12 yr. post , st. louis, Missouri,
