I used to power my microphone by using pigtail connections with a cigarette lighter. I had to cigarette lighters which were attached to the batteries and we switched them out daily. I, however, we caution you not to use it for anything that draws a lot of power. I tried to use a small fan one time and zapped all the power on my chair in less than five minutes.
It's always better not to attach things to the battery supply if you can get away without it.
