Yes, Dan--I never had any problems with my toe nails until after I became paralyzed--a podiatrist removed one big toenail and about a year later did a partial removal of the other-- very easy and painless done in his office due to getting ingrown toenail...this solved my problems with that many years ago. ( he did numb the toes just in case, when he did it but said it probably was'nt needed due to the fact I probably would not feel or react to him removing them ) Dan H.
