Pulling the pedal back up against it's stop does the same thing, theres
a lug on the pedal box that presses against the rachet.

So when you finally figure out that to get the quadrant back to it's
normal position you have to stick a screwdriver up the back ov the
pedal to release the rachet pawl, it does only take five minutes.
