I have a Weber carb on the car If it is 1987 or later the mixture screw should be to the left and a little below the idle speed screw. The idle speed screw is mounted at an angle - head downwards and has a coil spring acting as a locking device. the mixture screw may be concealed behind a blocking plug so from the exterior it may just appear as a blanked off tube moulded as part of the carb body. remove the plug to reveal the slotted screw head. The Haynes manual also notes that when adjusting the idle speed screw the electric fan should be kept running all the time.
