260hp 2+2... WOW!! mine is lively with a 1.4 and 62hp, yours must be nuts. I
got
a loom adapter with the engine which came from Kelvin in Salisbury. I believe
you had some bits off him too. The subframe mods are not a major issue. I don't
know what the donor car was as the engine was bought from someone who bought it
for a Q. I have seen your website, though not recently. I will go and take
another look now.

All the mods required have been covered in this group in the past, they may
also
be in the FAQ on the club web site.
I presume you've seen my web site www.quantums.info, some pictures on there of
a
Zetec in a 2+2 plus another page on fitting a Zetec in a Mk2 Fiesta.

Main things are:
Spaceframe mods to clear crank pulley, top of cylinder head and possibly
exhaust
downpipe.
Modification of the CVH top engine mounting bracket to fit the Zetec.
Change to injection fuel tank or external swirl pot with high pressure fuel
pump.
Additions to the wiring.
Depending on the engine donor don't forget about the PATS anti theft system.

What car is the engine coming from ?

I've got standard XR2 drums on the rear of my 260bhp ZVH turbo 2+2 but i've
Willwood 4 pot calipers on the front.
There is no weight on the rear of a 2+2 so i don't think upgrading the rear
brakes will help.

Jim
