good points, and I think on this topic, many miss the last point you
made, which is critical.  Yes, with most wifi devices, DHCP is perfectly
good.  But there are some "bugs" in some (all?) of the Squeezebox
hardware players themselves that sometimes don't let them play nice with
DHCP servers.
