The part I'm still not clear about: Michael suggested doing something
with the iMac OR a newer Mac OS as the fix.
It's not clear to me what that would fix, calling up the router to the
radio or (then?) bringing up MSB.com?

If you really have a networking issue, then no, this won't fix it.

What isn't clear to anybody in this thread seems to be what exact issue you have. You described many things. Among which there was "I can access music in Julie's iMac BUT all my favorites that AFAIK are on my squeezebox.com are gone.". That's the part my suggestion would fix.

But if your players go red antenna because they indeed lost network connection to your WiFi, then my suggestion is of no help. But I'm not sure whether you have a networking problem, or a confusion wrt. the music source. Because the red antenna can mean too many things: if you play music from your wife's computer, but that computer goes to sleep, then you'd get a red antenna, too.

Therefore let's concentrate on one thing and forget about LMS and the Mac for a moment. Connect the players to mysqueezebox.com. Only play online music, don't even try to browse music on the Mac. Would you still get the red antenna? If so, what would Settings/Advanced/Diagnostics/Network or WLAN Information say?
