If there is one thing that we as commanders have a responsibility to do, it is to preserve the dignity of the boys. I learned this as a boy, and have seen it reinforced throughout my lifetime. Satan uses bad experiences like the one that Bob Simon related to scar a boy for life. One of the worst things a RR leader could do is to be responsible for such an experience. I'm pretty well known for seeing things in "black and white", and being just about as narrow-minded as they come, but I can think of no excuse for this. Alot of things have come to light through this discussion. Not all of them things to be proud about. I'm just as guilty as anyone, I reckon. Ken, I would recommend that you delete that "Parade of Discipline" or whatever it was- before you use this thing.
