I think robbery is a bit much to overlook for a GMA or a Eagle Scout.
What about lying? Speeding? Evil thoughts? Aren't all sin? Were all the board members free of any "convictions" for violating law? When did one sin/mistake become worse/better than another?
How do we know when to draw the line?
