I agree with you.  The boy did the work he passed it.  Parents as a rule
don't sign off on advancement/merits.  They do sign off  on some steps of
those merits.  I agree wholeheartedly with you a critical spirit isn't
going to help the boy or your outpost.  Each one of us will judge things
but in most cases I have experienced, we all agree on the end results. 
He did the requirements here is his merit/advancement.  Encourage them. 
In our outpost since the first of the year.....  Let me check... 13
advancement/merits/badges.   

If any of you need a good way to track advancements/outings etc. 
Download the Ranger Database, the site can be found at the end of this
message.  It will help you keep good records of your
outposts/area/section.  
I just added a checkbook, receipt book and several other things but I
haven't updated the download site with these recent additions.   Also the
Rangers I added a signupsheet and stock certificate for rasping funds for
your outpost.  Still working out the details.  Will make it available in
a while.   Also if anyone needs a form or a report modified...holler I
can put it in there.  Best part is my payment will be collected in heaven
so it is free in this ole world.
