Strange, it wasn't hypothetical to me :-( One can only be held
accountable for one's own actions. As the TB commander it is your
duty to make sure the boy passes his requirements in trailblazers
honestly. If we are not honest in our own dealings, we cease to
be effective Christians. do not let fear of anyone dissuade you
from standing by your decisions. The boy passes when you say he
has. do not let this become a grudge, but simply be firm in your
assertion that the requirements be met. Make sure everyone knows
that if he can't demonstrate it at rangers, it isn't done. Don't
be afraid to ask the parents to show their knowledge if they sign
off. You can imagine what happened when I asked a parent to show
me a bowline when he signed that his kid had done it. The Muslims
don't know jihad until they see a parent like that. Through it all
be honest, kind, caring, true, and firm. When it came to a head for
me I was very forthcoming about all the dishonesty around me and
stated that if dishonesty was the order of the day, I would be
finding another church and outpost, and the pastor would know
precisely why. After some "words" the darkness was dispelled by
a light that would not cower before it and the entire outpost
was strengthened.

Be true, honest, and courageous. Jesus was.
