Razzak,

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried once without renaming the file, and
that did not work. I tried again downloading into a new directory and
renaming the file. The results are about the same as before. Rbase will
start, but it takes a very long time to get it going. It definitely kills
the mouse cursor (I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse) while it's starting.
Once open, for example, if I click on help to see if it recognizes the
proper build, it freezes everything. It eventually responds, but after
several long minutes. When the "about" screen does finally appear, it shows
the proper build.

Frank van der Zwaag was kind enough to provide me with a copy of your email
of 4/7/2005 to Dave Gallup re: un-installing RBG7. Does it sound as if this
would be the appropriate next step, and, if so, will it work with my
original discs for v.7.0? Do you think that this could be caused by
something else? All of my other programs seem to operate as before.

As a non-programmer (I'm only a lowly engineer, and a retired one at that) I
really appreciate your help and that of the list.

Best regards,

Jim Shenk

Jim,

That is the result of a incomplete/cached download.

A few suggestions:

01. Clear your browsers's cache and download the
     update in a separate directory.

     For Example:

MS IE | Main Menu | Tools | Internet Options ...

General | Delete Files | Delete all offline content

     Click on [OK]

Click [Ok] to close browser options

02. Download the Update 80
     http://www.rbase.com/rbg7updates

You may want to save the file with a different name.

03. Close all RBG7 Sessions, if opened.

04. Install the Update 80 accordingly

05. Start RBG7

That should take care of it!

Enjoy the Update 80 and make sure to have fun.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
