I'm not Noel but here's my take

I've have/had the following rivs:
Romulus, Bleriot, Saluki, and a Riv custom.
I also have a Madone.

I've never found these Rivs to suffer in ride quality.
I guess the Romulus seemed a bit more robust than the custom, but I chose/choose any of the Rivs over the Madone for rides longer than 50 miles. The custom rides so nicely that I choose it over all others
for any ride of any length.

I suspect that the custom has tubing pretty much akin to the Roadeo and the custom is the nicest riding bike
I've had the pleasure to experience in my > 30 years of riding.
