The stresses probably wouldn't be too bad for the plastic, and ABS is
supposedly one of the more durable plastics.

For a similar price though, you could probably get a benchtop CNC
router, and cut them out of plastic sheet, which will be a bit more
durable.

And all a printer is is a CNC machine with a miniature glue gun on it
instead of a mill.  I plan on building my own, and that's something I
plan on doing, setting it up to be able to eb used for different
things like that.
