I think what everybody is missing in regards to brushless, is that without 
sensor feedback and the correct controllers, slow speed start/stop/reverse 
is crap with the standard hobby brushless motors and controllers. 
 People need to dig into the links I provided to understand this.  I for 
one would not want to be near a 100 pound model that had jittery 
and inconsistent slow speed operation.  Reliable slow speed operation is 
CRUCIAL to the safe operation of these beasts.  These are not some airplane 
out in the field, a boat on the lake, or a car on the track, these are big 
heavy models making very complex maneuvers often just inches from their 
operators and others.
