I am worried, because of how it shows the development practices at
RS are not good enough.

I think RS should hire one or two more people whose sole task is to
get RB fast and reliable. Not "Win32 developer" or "Lead
programmer", but just "fast and reliable developer". RS would have
to put these people at the top of the development command, because
slowness is a part of design, and the people in command are the
ones doing the design.

so your suggestion to RB is to hire 2 more manager level developers?

No, one or two more good developers.

Of course that would require RS to admit that they are doing
something wrong.

i think their biggest impediment would be the 200-300k in yearly
salary ;p its been awhile since i've talked face to face with geoff
- but back in the day i dont remember him wearing too much bling. do
you really think rb is sitting around wondering what to do their
closet fulla money? they are a relatively small company, they have
to make decisions about allocation of limited resources.

Hah.

Because you can't improve what you don't admit is wrong. And so
this psychological issue they have is limiting their company.

its also hard to improve when the bank forecloses on your business
loan, and takes all the computers :)

You suggest leaving RS in a catch 22? A product which will become more and more unpopular because they can't hire talent?

Better to fix something no matter what it takes.
