Isn't 4.5 just amazing. The compile was so fast that you could test the syntax of your code by compiling and running the whole binary.
Not only that, but you could modify the code of a running application.
What a pity RB2006 had lost the most brilliant features of the old compiler.

But the "Brilliant Features" of the new compiler far outweigh those of the old compiler IMHO. Sure, some speed has been lost in the IDE but what has been gained is very significant. It is much more stable, has better error checking and is more representative of the actual built app. as it is a full build instead of a temporary guess. This was mainly due to the development in the area of cross platform application compilation.
