I still have 4.5 in the dock. The app jumps direct into your face if you compile smaller projects. Just opening a window in the 200X IDE takes about three times longer.

Rb 4.5 is still perfect for small utility apps where perl scripts are used by other programmers. You have a problem, two seconds later the IDE is ready for you, you modify while debugging, you compile immediately. The whole turnaround time is magnitudes faster than in the 200X version. Getting older the only problem is to remember all the changes to the language itself.

And it is a mac app. Even after one year with the new IDE I could cry for pain every-time I have to work in the window layout mode.
