As you could have read in my posting from nearly a month ago, I
didn't have time to spend on bug reports. Besides, filing a bug
report doesn't help me, since I'm always at least 6 months behind
every new version.
What happened six months ago may still apply today. Besides, if you
were actually 6 months behind, why is the message from Sept 10, 2006.
You refer to going back to r2 from r3 and others are still seeing the
problem in r4 so there's no excuse by saying you are behind.
If the posting didn't get noticed, well that's just too bad. If RS
did notice it, but weren't flexible enough to follow up on it
because it was no 'official' bugreport... ditto.
RS fixes bugs according to the Feedback reports submitted. The lists
are nice to inform others so they can sign on and possibly make the
problem get solved quicker.
I did the only thing that I could spare time for, which was to make
fellow list members aware of a possible problem.
Thus hoping that someone else would do the work for you.
If it really bothers you enough to mention it on the lists frequently
then how much more time would it take to make the actual Feedback
report?
Probably about the same time it took to write one letter to the lists.
I do agree with your summation of the problem and it has become worse
in r4.
