The more I read, the more I can see the argument. 11 seasons with the RED Sox is a career in itself. And with those numbers in that timeframe at that position, I can see the argument.
I don't remember that he "bolted". I remember that the RED Sox lost a little confidence in his ability to come back and play many more seasons with the injury that he had. People thought he was done. I think it was the shoulder.
