I don't get that either. I thought Ray had some inside scoop that Fisk actually 
negotiated for it. Is that not true?

What I don't understand is the blame you're assigning to Fisk. Did he twist 
somebody's arm and use some unseen leverage to force his number up onto the 
wall? How is anything his fault ... other than leaving the Red Sox because 
Haywood Sullivan and company screwed up his contract?

I have more trouble with retiring Johnny Pesky's number than Fisk's ...
