You approach it as if you're right and there is no other possibility than you 
being right.

Let's look at ideal conditions, Mr. Physics.

There is an edge.  It is a line in space.  It defines the border between the 
face of the wall and the top of the wall.  It is not the top of the wall.
There is a ball assumed to be a perfect sphere with an even distribution of 
mass throughout.
Now, if the ball is traveling at a given velocity, v, and at an angle of 0 
degrees (straight), and the point of contact is below the center of gravity, 
but less than 45 degrees below the center of gravity, then what direction will 
the ball travel, HAVING NEVER HIT THE TOP OF THE WALL?  Upward, I will bet.  
And, being less than 45 degrees, it will come back onto the field.  Being more 
than 45 degrees, it will continue over the wall.

That is from what I derive my opinion and my interpretation of the rules.  Not 
just, well I said so; so I'm right.

Again, there is no "edge".  If the ball touches the top, it is out.  When it 
touches the top it goes up.

I did not see this specific HOUR. I am guessing that it was past the edge and 
hit something behind the wall plane and came back onto the field.
