I agree, John - if Youk had been hurt, I think that would have been it. And the 
schedule for the rest of July isn't easy -

On the positive side, both Beckett and Buchy should be back right after the 
break, along with V-Mart and Hermida. I'm thinking 

Pedroia will be back sooner than expected (August 1?) along with Ellsbury 
around 
that time. So if they can stay within 4-5 games of 

first place, I could see them making a run with their starting pitching.

Of course, another injury could be devastating.

So, here we are and I’m very worried.  Can the Sox sustain this position until 
they have a healthy team?  I don’t have the optimistic bug right now.  It’s 
very 
difficult to sustain that level of play with 60% to 70% AAA players.  At this 
point, I’ll be confident and happy if we’re only 3 games out of wild card spot 
mid-August.  That will likely get us into the play-offs.
