Thanks for the kind words to help me feel better.After I did another water
change tonight I took time to participate in the candle vigil on our street
and hung up some American Flags outside.This made me feel alot better.This
what I'm going thru isn't a fraction of the pain the people who and the
families that lost loved one's.I to am a ebo jager fan .I had one in my sump
for 10 years and no problems.I thought it would be best to get a new one
since the jager was getting old.I chose the visa therm because it was
smaller in length and would give me a little more room in my sump.Wrong
decision.I put the old ebo jager heater back in until I get a new ebo
jager.Its kind of funny.I went tonight to my lfs and a guy was ready to buy
the same visa-therm heater and I told him my story and he went back and got
the ebo jager.It is a superior design.I'm pretty sure if I didn't start the
water changes as quick as I did the corals would be gone soon after the fish
died.I had to sit there and watch some fish swim on there sides and twich
while I tried to save them.It sucked.I was thinking of uthinizing but Ijust
couldn't.The old jager is keeping the temp steady.They new visa-therm had a
hard time keeping the temp up even though it was the same wattage?My lfs
store told me to do the same with the burned up heater.The poly filter is
changing colors and I added some more kent marine reef carbon.The water is
clearing up but that electrical burn smell is still in the water????Aweful
smell.Most of the corals are opening up thank goodness.Thanks again for the
help.Back to more water changes tomorrow.Ken.
