I too am challenged to find an easy solution to keeping bookmarks sync'd between my mobile devices (using Safari) and my computers (using Firefox). Surprised there's not an app for that!
Firefox sync works okay but that implies you are using FF on all devices. For me I use different browers on different devices so FF sync doesn't help. I found XMARKS problematic in that it duplicated my bookmark folder sets randomly and it was tedious to clean up the mess. I finally disconnected it although I continue to use LASTPASS for passwords (and export to KEEPASS on mobile devices). I tried Delicious but unless I used the keywords consistently (or at all), it seemed like more work than I wanted to do. Recently someone made a suggestion (related to passwords). He said to export your bookmarks from your most used source and place them in DROPBOX. >From there, what ever device you are using, import your bookmarks from DROPBOX to that browser. To keep track of new bookmarks, create a folder within each of your device's browsers using the name of the device (i.e. on my iPAD there is a bookmark folder in the toolbar named IPAD, on my iPhone it's named IPHONE, etc..). Pick a regular interval (weekly, daily, whatever) and export those bookmarks to DROPBOX to import into the next device. It's not a perfect solution but if you get a routine, at least you have access to the most recent set of bookmarks via DROPBOX. Just use a naming convention so you know what device and when the file was created (ipad012112).
