*/Declaration of Expulsion: A Modest Proposal/
It's Time to Reconfigure the United States*

When they tire of showering conservative victims with ideological mud,
liberals promote the only other subjects with which they feel
conversationally comfortable: Obscenity and sexual perversion. It's as
if the genes of liberals have rendered them immune to all forms of
filth. . . If the so-called "Red States" (those that voted for George W.
Bush) cannot be respected or at least tolerated by the "Blue States"
(those that voted for Al Gore and John Kerry), then the most disparate
of them must live apart--not by secession of the former (a majority),
but by expulsion of the latter. Here is how to do it.

*Even before last Tuesday's election, speculation was running rampant
about who might fill top jobs in a second Bush administration. Among
those mentioned for U.S. attorney general: Mobile native and former
Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor. *

Mr. Pryor is probably best known as a zealous advocate of relaxing the
wall between church and state. He teamed up with one of Pat Robertson's
organizations in a court effort to defend student-led prayer in public
schools, and he has vocally defended Alabama's chief justice, who has
insisted on displaying the Ten Commandments in state court facilities.
But his career is broader. He has urged the repeal of a key section of
the Votings Rights Act, which he regards as "an affront to federalism
and an expensive burden." He has also called Roe v. Wade "the worst
abomination of constitutional law in our history." Whatever one thinks
of Roe, it is offensive to rank it among the court's most notorious
cases, which include Dred Scott and Plessy v. Ferguson, after all.

*Marines turn to God ahead of anticipated Fallujah battle*

The marines then lined up and their chaplain blessed them with holy oil
to protect them.

"God's people would be annointed with oil," the chaplain said, as he
lightly dabbed oil on the marines' foreheads.

The crowd then followed him outside their small auditorium for a baptism
of about a half-dozen marines who had just found Christ.

The young men lined up and at least three of them stripped down to their
shorts.

The three laid down in a rubber dinghy filled with water and the
chaplain's assistant, Navy corpsman Richard Vaughn, plunged their heads
beneath the surface.

Smiling, Vaughn baptised them "in the name of the Father, the Son and
the Holy Spirit."

*Over 30 Killed in Iraq Insurgent Attacks*

Col. Gary Brandl voiced his troops' determination:

"The enemy has got a face. He's called Satan. He's in Fallujah and we're
going to destroy him."
