I have a lot of reissued CDs that have been remastered and some with
additional bonus tracks. I'm wondering what people do in terms of
putting a year on them.

It seems most of the people on freedb like to put the year of reissue
on remasters--which doesn't make much sense to me, I'd rather have that
stuff on the year of original recording. I'm more perplexed with new
bonus tracks. They're usually contemporary with the original album so
maybe they should have the same year; but since they usually weren't
available before the remaster maybe the new date should be the date of
the recording.

I'd really like to be able to have all dates associated with the
recordings. It looks like there's some provisions for that in some
tagging recommendations
(http://www.gophernet.org/articles/vorbiscomment/) but I don't think
SlimServer is set up to deal with it.

What are people doing out there?
