Not that I'm adding much but I just wanted to mention that I've been
using dbpoweramp for a while and I like it a lot. I find it easy to use
and very fast. I used EAC a few times but it ran much slower. I compared
the output of about ten discs ripped to wav with EAC and dbpoweramp and
they were identical (I use flac to store my music - wav was just to
test). My discs are all in excellent condition. I also like the way
accuraterip works - it is better than re-reading and possibly getting
the same error - the rip can still be wrong but consistant where as
accuraterip uses a checksum which should be more accurate. I had to rip
over 2000 cd's so speed was important to me. I think that EAC is a great
solution for many people but for me the ease of use and speed of
dbpoweramp was well worth the $30.
