I take it that you are able to plug a pair of headphones into that socket and listen to the CD? In which case, you should be able to record it. Neither the CD nor your stereo has any idea whether the device plugged into the headphone socket is a pair of headphones or something else (eg. a PC soundcard). So the signal should be delivered, and thus recordable.
When you say you get a "continuous tone", do you mean a loud, extremely distorted tone? In that case, it's probably because the headphone output level is overloading the mic input you're using. If you have a line input instead of a mic input, try using that, and keep the headphone volume on the stereo turned down. -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37201 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
