Hi Brawny,

The new beta version of Audacity support Flac natively, so you could
record and edit directly in Audacity using Flac.

You could correct scratch and pop in Audacity but other software as
SoundForge got very effective plugin to do so.

I may suggest you to use an external audio card (with usb or firewire
connection) instead of the SoundBlaster.
An external card is lees prone to noise.
I'm using a M-Audio FastPro, using volume input control and headphone
built-in amplifier is very effective.

Using CD Architect 5.2c (with Flac support) give me the possibility to
create and edit easily the LP after capture.

More and more I'm trying to keep all my audio in Flac or MP3 to get the
benefit of tagging all information related to the file.
