It will record, track split and clean up vinyl and tape. I second Rob's recommendation for Wave Corrector. I reckon it's probably the best affordable automatic declicker around at the moment. Like all automatic declickers, it has problems with big glitches. Unlike most others, which tend to replace big pops and clicks with "thuds" and "plops", it tends to mute them, which is probably preferable. But I still find this unacceptable - the best approach is to do a pre-pass and manually fix big clicks before letting any automatic declicker loose.
A particular strength of Wave Corrector is that you can review each individual click and redefine how it will be fixed - this is unusual in automatic declickers. That said, taking advantage of this feature means you'll increase the effort required by an order of magnitude. I should just point out that I have no commercial interest in Wave Corrector, despite the name's similarity to my own shareware (Wave Repair). -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40894 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
