EAC is a fine program, as is dbPowerAmp.

BUT... since you have a genuine Plextor drive, you really should be
ripping with Plextools Pro. It is much faster than EAC and equally
secure. In fact, if you have discs with uncorrectable errors, Plextools
is the only ripper I know of that is able to switch on the Plextor
drive's error concealment algorithms for ripping CDs that have
uncorrectable errors.
