Sorry - I forgot about those settings. I think you should set this to option #5, set the retries to something sensible (like 10), and also check the "allow speed down".
Incidentally, there are later version of Plextools Pro that may have some useful extra features. If you like, I could send you the install file for version 2.24. (PM me if interested). It means that the drive will report back to Plextools if there's an uncorrectable error, and Plextools will then do things like re-read, reduce the drive speed, etc, in a attempt to get a good read. If it eventually fails, it'll tell you. SatoriGFX;304315 Wrote: > Hmm... The tags in a FLAC file are stored at the start of the file. It is common practice to leave some spare space (about 4kB is typical). THis means that if you add some extra info into the tags, only that 4kB header needs to be rewritten. Plextools does NOT add this extra space in FLAC tags. So if you ever edit the tags and make them longer, there's no space at the start of the file to put the new data, so the entire (multi-MB) file has to be rewritten, which takes much longer. -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47951 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
