Going from 88.2 to 44.1 is trivial, you can either just throw away every other sample, or average them. It takes magic interpolation to go from 48 to 44.1 and nearly the same from 96 to 44.1 Its a very special LP that actually has any music signal over 20kHz, and few cartridges can pick it up.
