Clive is quite right. One other piece of advice - when recording do not
have the music playing over speakers to monitor things - this avoids
your turntable being affected by sound waves in the room (acoustic
feedback). As a long time (15+ years) ex-LP12 user with hundreds of
drops recorded, I can confirm this makes a BIG difference to bass
quality of the needle-drop. Whatever the LP12 was good at, acoustic
isolation was not its forte!

I'd use 44.1/24 if available. There's nothing much worth hearing above
15Khz on LP's that have been played a few times. If you are over 40 -
as I am - you really won't be hearing much over 12-13Khz anyway, if you
are lucky and have looked after your ears.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann
JISCO/UPCI - TACT RCS 2.2X + Good Vibrations S/W - MF
Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods)- Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x
LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters,
Kimber & Chord cables
Outdoors: Boombox+Creative Sub (If I remember to turn it on...)
