In my mind, there should be one and only one artist for "Various
Artists", independent where it comes from. If someone wants to change
the name, just require a full rescan, shouldn't be a problem as this is
something you setup in the beginning and never change afterwards.

I think it should be under "V", that would be a lot more logical for
users which use ALBUMARTIST tags with values like "Jazz Various
Artists", "Instrumental Various Artists". Besides this it would also
make the browsing logic simpler as you don't have to handle any special
cases.
